What is the purpose of this site?

Get me to defcon is my little attempt at raising funds to pay for getting to Vegas this August to see defcon.

So what... do you think you're some kind of hacker or something?

No. However, I am fascinated with the world of security. I think that going to DEFCON will be a fun experience where I can learn new techniques to further secure my own personal systems as well as those where I work (hostmysite.com). I am not going there planning to Hack the gibson... But I anticipate to learn new and upcoming security threats and ways to prevent them. And I mean... Come on... who doesn't want to go to Vegas?
